The run into mid-life can be a confusing and challenging one - even if you consider yourself as highly functioning fit and healthy. Things start to happen your mind and body , things that you may initially ignore or put to one side. Until you find that this strategy no longer works for, or with you.
In this second chapter you may have been giving to all around you while ignoring your own deep needs, unable or unwilling to hear the innate wisdom from your body.
I have deliberately studied in a number of holistic therapy areas to ground my practice in research. The functional medicine means I can offer gut, hormone and nervous system tests. These act as confirmation for what I know to be the case from our work together. The combination of qualitative data and quantitative experiential evidence means we target what will support.
As a mother and grandmother I have personally navigated Thyroid surgery, sudden early menopause and divorce. Experiencing all the unexpected emotional turbulence and changes to both body mind and emotions that this brings. I really understand how life can sometimes feel more than expected or prepared for.
From this personal and academic learning I seek to support other females to have the tools, and permissions to care for themselves in a deep and whole person way.
